I’m currently a graduate student in sociology at the University of Minnesota, and I am the web editor for Contexts magazine at contexts.org.
This is my personal blog. It’s a place for me to write about politics, music, technology, science and whatever else I feel like. Though I’m a sociology grad student, it’s not really a “sociology” blog and it’s not related to my graduate work in any way.
This is the fourth incarnation of this blog on it’s third blogging platform with it’s third name. Whew! (Notes on the last two name changes here and here.) Everything before May 24, 2005 was originally at blog2eleven.blogspot.com and everything before October 25, 2004 was originally at a homepage.mac.com site that I got sick of paying too much for. I managed to import all of my previous postings from both of these blogs (even the ones I’d just as soon no one see again). Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to import the old comments (my apologies to past commenters - I still have them backed up though, so maybe someday I’ll figure it out…), so feel free to strike up a new discussion on any post, old or new.
